In this section you will find learning and other resources to support your development of trauma informed knowledge and skills.
How to Use the Toolkit
- Book some time with one or more colleagues to work through the presentations together, there are some exercises in each that you can do together
- The first presentation, Understanding Trauma is the longest, you may want to book x2 two hour sessions for this
- The second and third presentations should also take about 2 hours each
- We suggest you have a go at the mental silence in your group so you can reflect on the experience and encourage each other to keep taking time out, should you wish to
- Finally, repeat as often as you need a refresher – there is a lot of information and it may take several listens to really sink in
If you need to ask us anything please feel free to use the contact form on the ‘Contact’ page.
Look our for in person training via Exeter City Council Housing Team.
Most of all, we hope you enjoy using this toolkit and that it can act as a go to resource for you.
